
New Delhi [India], May 8 (ANI): The White Knight Corps On Wednesday, they verified the ultimate sacrifice of an Indian soldier who perished due to intense artillery fire from the Pakistani forces near the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.
Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar from the 5 Field Regiment died as a result of the shelling that occurred during the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Confirming his death, the White Knight Corps posted on social media platform X, "#GOC and all ranks of #WhiteKnightCorps salute the supreme sacrifice of Lance Naik Dinesh Kumar of 5 Fd Regt, who laid down his life on 07 May 25 during Pakistan Army shelling."
They likewise showed their support for the civilians impacted by the cross-border assaults. The message continued, stating, "We also stand in unity with every victim of the deliberate attacks on unarmed civilians in the #Poonch Sector."
Pakistan Army began shelling civilian areas in Poonch, Tangdhar and other border regions on the night of May 6, and continued firing until May 7. The bombardment resulted in extensive damage to houses, prompted numerous residents to evacuate, and left several individuals wounded.
Locals, however, remained firm and backed the Indian Army's Operation Sindoor. The operation targeted terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) in response to the Pahalgam terror attack.
Patients are receiving care at several healthcare centers.
Despite Operation Sindoor, Pakistan continued its ceasefire violations on Wednesday, shelling more civilian areas and creating panic among villagers.
As per information from defense sources, between the nights of May 6 and 7, Pakistan conducted indiscriminate attacks. firing Including intense artillery bombardment from positions along the Line of Control and the International Border.
Shellings were likewise reported in the Poonch and Rajouri sectors after the operation took place.
A community member stated, “We won’t vacate this area and we stand behind the Indian Army. There’s a possibility of the truce being breached again today… This action serves as an appropriate response… Women and children have been moved out, yet the men plan to remain.”
